FELIZ DÍA DE LA INDEPENDENCIA
El 9 de Julio de 1816, en la casa de Francisca Bazán, se firmó el acta de independencia. A partir de ese día, el antiguo Virreinato del Río de la Plata proclamaba su independencia política de España, no así la económica.
Buenos Aires monopolizó y usufructuó su puerto, abriéndolo a la importación de bienes industrializados y también a la exportación de materia prima. Este desequilibrio entre Buenos Aires y el interior perdura. También perdura esa economía frágil, de país agroexportador.
A partir de ahí, se comienza a conformar una identidad de nación. Se empieza a hablar de Mendoza, Salta, Córdoba, Buenos Aires y muchos otros lugares como parte de Argentina.
Para esto lucharon San Martín y Belgrano.

Today we are going to start talking
about adjectives that describe feelings.
First, we are going to match words
and pictures. (exercise 1) And after that we are going to listen to the audio
(1.68) to check. Repeat the phrases!
In exercise 2, the Carter family are
on holiday in Ireland. Let’s listen and number. (audio 1.69)
There are many imperative phrases in
the dialogue. Imperative phrases are those that are used to give commands or
orders: Go out! Open the door!
You can also suggest using Let´s.
Now, listen to the end of the audio to see how
this story finishes. What are the two problems that the family has?
There´s a chart in exercise 3 a to
complete: imperatives and suggestions.
Then in exercise b we are going to
learn more about imperatives and suggestions at page126, Grammar bank 2c.

Hope you are doing well!
Today we are going to have a look at
time sequencers (when things happen and in what order…) and connectors. (used
to link sentences)
Let’s read and listen about Hannah and Jamie,
“One dark October evening” page 16. (audio 1.45).
Then we are going to check
comprehension and to complete the gaps with the connector and time sequencers
given above.
In exercise D we are going to page
128, Grammar Bank 2c to learn more about time sequencers and connectors. (I
leave you a slide share and a picture with more examples, below).
After that, some pronunciation
practice! (page 17exercise 2) Word stress. (audio 1.49).
Let´s move onto some vocabulary:
verb phrases, we form them with a verb and a phrase.
Finally, we are going to listen to
two different endings of the story. You have to choose one! (audio 1.50; 1.51).
If you chose a happy ending ,you are
going to answer the questions in communication “Happy ending” page 101.If, on
the contrary you chose a sad ending, go to “Sad ending” page 109, and answer
the questions there.
Let´s finish with a song “Blue as
your eyes”. (audio 1.52).
